The   essentials of MARRAKECH

 

  • Place Jemaa El Fna: listed as an oral world heritage site by Unesco, this place has offered a permanent spectacle for more than a millennium. Snake charmers, acrobats, artists, storytellers, etc.

 

  • Souks: lose yourself in the legendary souks of Marrakech, where you will discover Moroccan craftsmanship

 

  • Medersa Ben Youssef: this former Koranic school allows you to marvel at the talented work of Moroccans (under construction 2020)

 

  • Saadian tombs: tombs of a former sultan

 

  • The Koutoubia minaret: entry is forbidden to non-Muslims but it is possible to visit these gardens, an ideal place to listen closely to the call to prayer.

 

  • Bahia Palace: a palace dating from 1860

 

  • Majorelle Garden: not to be missed, this garden is of incomparable beauty and attracts more than 60,000 visitors a year

  • Go to the hammam: relax in the vapors of a traditional hammam

  • Dar Si Saïd: palace converted into a Moroccan art museum

  • Museum of the palm grove (garden and museum)

  • Take a horse-drawn carriage ride: around the ramparts of the medina

Take a day trip:

  • Ourika Valley, Essaouira, Agafay, Ouarzazate and its Kasbahs, Cascades Ouzoud
